Thank you for coming to last week’s Parent/Child Night. The children are always so proud of their classroom and their work!
Our study of Africa has taken us along the banks of the Nile River to the papyrus plant. We have been soaking our strips of papyrus in hopes of creating our own sheets of paper. This involves lots of soaking, squeezing, rolling and drying. Our scribes are hoping to eventually have their own paper to record information or to just paint with watercolor hieroglyphics.
As Thanksgiving draws closer, we find it a perfect time to have a celebration of thanks. On Tuesday morning, November 23rd we will be having a simple celebration with breakfast foods. There is no need to volunteer for this one, as it will be quite simple. (and you can be thankful for that!)
You will be receiving a list of needed items in the folder this Friday. If you could send these in on Tuesday morning it would be much appreciated.
We will not need Ii items next week as we only have two days. Our Ii items can be brought in on Monday, November 29th instead.
Have a nice weekend and we’ll see you next week,
Liz and Kristen
