Matching Gifts

There are many companies that will match your contributions to WHMS. Check with your employer to determine if a matching gift program is available or go to www.matchinggifts.com.

Gifts of Stock

Giving a gift of appreciated stock offers you a two-fold tax savings. Not only can you avoid paying capital gains tax on the increased value of your stock, but you will also receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift. Please note that in order to take advantage of these tax benefits stock must be transferred to WHMS and sold through our broker. Planned or Deferred Gifts

Donors are encouraged to contribute deferred or planned gifts toward our scholarship endowment to ensure that the Montessori community is able to provide opportunities to an economically diverse population.

WHMS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent provided by law.

This year the Annual Fund will be used to purchase Montessori classroom materials, new technology, music equipment, classroom furniture and carpet, library barcode software and a shed to store sports equipment. There is still time to contribute to this year’s annual fund if you haven’t already done so.
