There are so
many ways
you can help
support the
mission of
the Woodland
Hill
Montessori
School
Annual Fund.
Because
tuition
covers only
part of the
cost of
running the
school we
must rely on
the
generosity
of the
community to
help sustain
our rich
learning
environment.
Every gift
to the
Annual Fund
counts and
every amount
helps to
ensure the
legacy of
our school.
Annual Fund
donations
make a
difference
where they
are needed
most. Every
student at
WHMS
benefits
from the
Annual Fund.
Last year,
the Annual
Fund was
used to
purchase
Montessori
classroom
materials,
an upright
Steinway
piano,
classroom
furniture, a
new Smart
Board for
the Upper
Elementary
classrooms
and athletic
field
equipment
for our new
regulation
size playing
field.
This year
the Annual
Fund will be
used to purchase
Montessori
classroom
materials,
new
technology,
music
equipment,
classroom
furniture
and carpet,
library
barcode
software
and a shed
to store
sports
equipment. There is
still time
to
contribute
to this
year’s
annual fund
if you
haven’t
already done
so.

to WHMS.

Gifts of
Stock
Giving a
gift of
appreciated
stock offers
you a
two-fold tax
savings. Not
only can you
avoid paying
capital
gains tax on
the
increased
value of
your stock,
but you will
also receive
a tax
deduction
for the fair
market value
of the stock
on the date
of the gift.
Please note
that in
order to
take
advantage of
these tax
benefits
stock must
be
transferred
to WHMS and
sold through
our broker.

Planned
or Deferred
Gifts
Donors are
encouraged
to
contribute
deferred or
planned
gifts toward
our
scholarship
endowment to
ensure that
the
Montessori
community is
able to
provide
opportunities
to an
economically
diverse
population.
