Meet Our Faculty and Staff

Stephanie Carty joined the WHMS faculty in 2022 teaching middle school math. She holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Hartwick College and a master's degree in Education from The College of Saint Rose. She is professionally certified in the State of New York in adolescent mathematics education 7-12, and is currently completing coursework with the Cincinnati Montessori Secondary Teacher Education Program to earn a teaching credential in Montessori education. Stephanie has been teaching middle and high school math and computer science in the Capital District since 2014; she has also worked with NERIC (Capital Region BOCES) as an Educational Technology Training Specialist, and was the lead coordinator for NERIC's esports service. In addition to teaching mathematics, this year Stephanie will be teaching our Middle School students to code in a brand new, semester-long computer programming class.
